Welcome to Nightingale Class!

Our class is made up of 31 children; 9 Year 2 children and 22 Year 1 children. Our aim is Nightingale class is to promote independent learning to prepare the Year 1 children for transition to Year 2 and the Year 2 children for the transition to KS2. We’ll be thinking about our 3Rs (resilience, responsibility and respect) and how we can ensure to try our best over the next academic year.

Our aim for Nightingale children is to promote a love of learning through discussion and questioning. We enjoy coming across different problems and learning how to solve them. Our topic for Autumn term is: Water and Land explorers, which we are linking to Pirates! We will be finding out about Sir Francis Drake and James Cook and all about their voyages and expeditions!

Nightingale Class start school at 8:50am and finish at 2:50pm. Our drop off and pick up point is the yellow door at the main entrance to the infant site.

Children can choose to have packed lunches or school dinners each day.

PE days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays and we ask that pupils still come to school in their kits on these days.
