JMAT Y5/Y6 Boys and Girls Football League 2022 In May and June, a Y5/6 boys team and Y5/6 girls team competed against the schools from across the cluster in a football league. All the children represented the school brilliantly and the standard of football was top class. After all the fixtures, the boys team came 4th out of 8 teams and the girls came 3rd out of 5 teams. Well done girls!

  • Totty Cup 2022

Totty Cup Runners-Up 2022 We are so proud of our amazing Y5/6 girls football team who have competed and come as runners-up in the first ever Totty Cup for girls in its history. They had to first qualify for the finals by competing against all the schools in the cluster, which they did in style, coming top of the group. They then competed against the 8 qualifying schools from across the borough at the Dearne & District JFC in Goldthorpe. The girls were unstoppable in the qualifying rounds, even in the blistering heat. The scores were: Brampton Ellis 4 St. Josephs 0 Brampton Ellis 1 Queen 0 St. Johns 0 Brampton Ellis 2 In a very tense semi-finals against Sacred Heart we scored a late goal to win 2-1 to reach the finals. The girls then played their part in an entertaining and incredibly tense final that went to penalties. The team were so close to glory and had a couple of chances in the final to win it. Despite multiple periods of golden-goal extra-time, the two teams could not be separated. Sadly, in the shoot-out St. Johns won 2-1 on penalties. It was an incredible day. Thank you to all the parents who came along and played their part in supporting the girls. Look out for coverage of the event on ITV over the coming weeks. The local newspapers were also there to capture the drama.
