PSHE

At Brampton the Ellis Primary, we believe that the nurturing and development of the whole child is very important and that PSHE plays a key role in this. PSHE enables pupils to develop the knowledge and understanding, skills, attitudes and values which are necessary for them to make sense of the responsibilities, opportunities and experiences which are part of their lives, both now and in the future. It does this by promoting the moral, cultural, mental and physical development of all pupils. At Brampton, we use the Jigsaw scheme of work to plan and resource our PSHE lessons. Alongside this, we also use The Zones of Regulation to aid our understanding of our feelings, help ourselves to regulate them and also learn new vocabulary to help us explain how ourselves and others might be feeling. All staff at Brampton Ellis promote our 3 Rs – Respect, Responsibility and Resilience and these three key values are embedded within our PSHE curriculum.
