Uniform

At Brampton ‘The Ellis’ C of E Aided Primary School, we believe that it is important for children to dressed in the correct uniform because:

  • it helps to establish a feeling of community and sense of belonging;

  • it helps to develop pride in our school;

  • wearing a uniform sets a formal tone and encourages pupils to take their studies seriously;

  • it forms good habits for life, preparing children for secondary school and future careers;

  • it can also promote self-discipline by reducing distractions;

  • pupils spend less time and energy deciding what to wear, allowing them to focus more on learning.

  • uniforms reduce visible differences between students, which can help prevent bullying and peer pressure related to fashion or brand-name clothing;

  • it is often cheaper than maintaining a trendy wardrobe.

Uniform is therefore a shared expectation and an important part of school life. We ask pupils to wear it with pride, as it reflects both themselves and the school they represent.

All items of our uniform can be bought cheaply (and of good quality) from many local supermarkets.
