Welcome to Woodpecker Class!

 

We are a brand-new class of Y3 and Y4 children, which is very exciting! We are situated in the new block, across the playground and we are the classroom on the left.  Our class teacher is Mrs Furniss and Miss Love is our classroom teaching assistant.  Mrs Dunkley teaches us on a Friday, when Mrs Furniss fulfils her other roles in and around school.

We always promote our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience in all areas of our school life and aim to be role models for others, whilst shining our lights and being the best we can be!  Our topics this year are Romans, Yorkshire Coast and Vikings, so lots of new learning will be taking place and hopefully some exciting class trips. Our classroom adults love to read, so we have lots of new and exciting reading books to share. We change our books every Friday, but we like to bring our books to school every day, so we can read with school adults.

Our PE days are Tuesday (indoor) and Thursday (outdoor).  We like to bring our PE kits into school every Monday and keep them here all week, just in case things change.   We also like to bring our water bottle and an optional snack for morning break.
